Born in 1992 in Agona Swedru located in the Central Region of Ghana – West Africa, Eddy Koomson was raised in a Christian home as the last born of four (4) children. Growing up in a very musical family, he started singing in the church choir and playing drums at the age of 4.
He had his high school education in Aggrey Memorial A.M.E Zion school in Cape Coast, the city he spent his formative years in. He then gained admission to Bluecrest College in Accra- the capital city of Ghana- where he studied Network Engineering and Internet Security.
At age 22, Eddy became the youngest employee of PZ Cussons GH LTD, a sister company of PZ Cussons International - headquartered in Manchester, UK - where he became the Assistant Digital Marketing Manager for the African Region. Eddy worked with the African team, using digital innovations to transform the business as a whole. In 2015, Eddy and his then supervisor (Stephen Boadi, former Head of Digital Marketing, Africa), won the best Facebook page at the Ghana Blogging Awards with Cussons Baby Ghana. In February 2016, he merited a Global Excellence in Marketing Award for brand building with the brand Cussons Baby Ghana. Eddy earned a Google Certification in 2015 to become a certified Google Partner as well as a Hootsuite Academy scholar in 2016.
Additionally, Eddy has been instrumental in building online brands like the PL Crew Band, (Ghana’s top gospel band) where he also doubles as Head of administration and Head Of Production for the biggest music seminar in West Africa, Bass Clinic.
Eddy currently works with Dentsu Aegis Network Ghana as the Digital Media Planner for iProspect. Out of the digital marketing scene, he expresses his love for music as a bass guitar player with one of the fastest rising bands in Ghana (FlightTheBand) and has worked with many famed musicians in the country namely E.L, Kingzkid, Negar Wujangi, Niiella among others. He played bass for E.L at his BAR III and BAR IV concerts and also at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2016 where the artiste won the Afro Pop Artiste. He is endorsed as an international artist for world renowned US-based Bass guitar manufacturing company, MTD Bass.
